Angelina Nakama Bako
Hello, my name is Angelina Nakama Bako, and I was born and raised in Juba, South Sudan. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from the International University of East Africa in Uganda. Motivated by my passion for community service, I began my journey by volunteering with the Uganda Red Cross Society after completing my studies. This experience provided me with valuable insights into the challenges faced by vulnerable communities, deepening my empathy and understanding of their struggles. It also broadened my perspective on diverse cultures and humanitarian needs.
Upon returning to Juba, I joined Youth Empowerment and Development Aids (YEDA), a national organization dedicated to empowering young people and addressing key societal challenges. I am passionate about social work and working with the community. My commitment to empowering vulnerable populations and promoting social justice drives me to take action in addressing societal challenges. I believe in creating sustainable change that uplifts communities and fosters inclusive development. Whether through my work with humanitarian organizations or community service, I am dedicated to supporting those in need and advocating for equitable access to resources and opportunities for all. Helping others and making a meaningful impact is what inspires me every day.
I am honoured to be part of the EIMAS programme, which is enhancing my knowledge and skills. This opportunity empowers me to further my efforts in transforming lives and promoting sustainable development in my community and beyond.
