Abiud Bosire

Abiud Bosire is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Education at the Chair of Pedagogy with a focus on Diversity Education and International Educational Research of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, and a European Interdisciplinary master’s in African studies (EIMAS). His current research examines the implementation of Global Education in secondary schools in Kenya and Germany with a focus on the role of the curriculum and teacher global competencies. His academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of global education, sustainable development, and social justice. He is particularly focused on how education systems can prepare learners to address global challenges while remaining responsive to local contexts and perspectives. Furthermore, his work engages with issues such as equity in education, teacher professional development, curriculum reform, and the use of Open Educational Resources (OER) to broaden access to knowledge.

Beyond academia, Abiud is deeply committed to advancing opportunities for marginalized populations and individuals in rural Kenya through community-based organization that empowers underserved groups through education, life skills, and entrepreneurial training.
